Prof. Alberto Verrotti
Prof. Alberto Verrotti is a Full Professor of Pediatrics, Director of Specialty School of Pediatrics at the School of Medicine and Chief of the Department of Pediatrics of University of Perugia, Italy.
He obtained the MD degree at the University of Chieti (Italy) than he did a Postgraduate course on Paediatrics and on Neurology at the University of Chieti and a PhD in Pediatric Sciences at the University of Rome.
He has been a Visiting Doctor at the University of Stockholm in Sweden (1983), Junior Research Fellow at the University of Chieti in Italy (1983-86), Research Fellow at the University of Chieti in Italy (1991-99), Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Chieti in Italy (1999-2013), Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Perugia in Italy (2013-2016) and Full Professor of Pediatrics at the University of L'Aquila in Italy (2016-2020).
He is Membership of Scientific Societies: Italian Society of Pediatrics (SIP) and Italian Society of Pediatric Neurology (SINP).
He has been Assistant Editor of Journal of Pediatric Neurology (2004-2007), Reviewer of many international Journals, Member of Editorial Boards about neuroscience, Nutrition disorders and therapy, spleep disorders, epilepsy, pediatric neurology, Member of the Council of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA) and of SYNAPS Study Group, Editor-in-Chief of Molecular and Cellular Epilepsy, Associate Editor of Translational Genetics and Genomics.
Prof. Verrotti's research is focused on Pediatric Neurology, especially on clinical trials with new antiepileptic drugs, endocrine consequences of antiepileptic drugs, preclinical markers of pharmacoresistance in epilepsy, oxidative stress and metabolic disturbances in epilepsy, cognitive impairment in epilepsy and headache. His research activities has led to the publication of more than 731 papers in International Ranked Journals with an H index of 61 and an Impact Factor of 997,381 and he has been speaker at numerous International and National Congresses.
