Mariasanta Napolitano

Associate Professor of haematology at the Department of Health Promotion, Mother and Child Care, Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties of the University of Palermo, at the beginning of her career she has been involved in clinical research in the field of inherited Factor VII deficiency, she is currently involved in research on inherited bleeding disorders, immune Thrombocytopenia, venous thromboembolism in cancer, bleeding disorders in women.

She is principal investigator in several clinical trials in the field of heamophilia and immune thrombocytopenia, and she has achieved several research prizes in the field of haemophilia.

She is an active member of the Società Italiana di Ematologia (SIE), Associazione Italiana Centri Emofilia (AICE), Società Italiana per lo studio della emostasi e Trombosi (SISET). She is also a member of the European Haematology Association (EHA).
