Prof. Dr. Shou-Heng Liu

Prof. Shou-Heng Liu is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at National Cheng Kung University. His research focuses on sustainable resources and clean energy, CO₂ capture and utilization, environmental catalysis, wastewater treatment, environmental remediation, and circular economy technologies. Over his academic career, he has made significant contributions to environmental engineering through the development of advanced materials, photocatalytic systems, biochar-based technologies, and innovative solutions for pollution control and resource recovery.

Prof. Liu is an internationally recognized researcher with an outstanding publication record of more than 118 SCI-indexed journal articles, along with several books, book chapters, and patents. His work has been published in leading journals such as Applied Catalysis B: Environment and Energy, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Environmental Science & Technology, and Science of the Total Environment. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award and the Outstanding Professor Award, reflecting his significant impact on environmental science, sustainable energy, and advanced environmental technologies.
